Next Fashion Project

I have recently discovered the joy in altering clothes, and sewing my own. I am surprisingly really good at sewing, I just never take the time to. Lately I have mostly been making my own cheer clothes, but I thought I would take on an actual fashion piece this time. I am really fascinated with high-low skirts: the ones that are short in the front and long in the back. I am thinking about sewing one in a sandy, nude color because I think it would suit all my summer clothes really well. I want to match it with either an orange or light blue silk tank and a cognac colored belt and wedges! I am going to go look for fabric tomorrow (HOPEFULLY!) so that I can work on it during the upcoming weeks. Wish me luck fashionistas!

Old Town, Stockholm

Here are some more pictures from Stockholm! Most of them are from the Old Town, where they have a lot of cute little old shops and cool restaurants!! My friends mostly went into some tourist shops to get souvenirs and we had lunch and took pictures!

Sky View

Since my friends Kyleigh and Tara are here visiting me from Florida I have gone on endless tourist attractions here in Stockholm! I am not a fan of heights, but one of the coolest ones was the Sky View on the Globe! The globe is the world’s largest spherical building where concerts, sports events, and other entertainment is held. I am not sure how high it is, but they have built a track that goes up one side of the globe so that you get a better view of Stockholm. We went on it, and the view was amazing!! It took about 17 minutes, and we got so many pictures! It was probably one of the coolest things I’ve done since I got here to Sweden so it was definitely worth it, despite my anxiety about heights!

Sparkles Are A Girl’s Best Friend

I have to admit I am quite restless at the moment without Facebook, so I painted my nails and studied for my biology test on Friday. I decided to make them REALLYYY sparkly this time :D I used a light gold nail polish under from Orly, then a sparkly gold polish on top that is from China Glaze. I don’t remember the names of them though!

A proud girl

I’m sitting on my train right now, quite proud of myself. I have deactivated my Facebook (and actually deleted the app on my phone this time..) and decided yesterday to stop eating sweets. These are two of my guilty pleasures, and they have both taken over my life. I eat something sweet at least 3 times a day, which does add up. I work out 4 times a week, but it doesn’t really make a difference when Im always eating so many sweets: I’m just canceling out what I’ve been eating. Facebook is also a big part of my life, because I’m always on there. Literally. I feel my fingers burning if I don’t check it at least twice an hour. No more of that! :D I’m going to aim for 2 weeks, so after DM I might activate it again. I guess I’m just trying to get rid of the urge to always be on there. As far as the sweets go… Hopefully a month ;)

The Joys Of Cancelled Classes…

My economics teacher was sick again today, so class was cancelled. I don’t mind when the lesson is at the beginning or the end of the day, but today it was in the middle of the day, so it’s not as good. A good IB student *cough* would be studying for the biology and math tests coming up, but I am way too distracted and restless to do that when there’s people around! :D

So I thought I would write a post about how bored I am waiting for my next class to start! In the mere 40 minutes I have been waiting in one of the sitting-type rooms at my school, I have listened to half of my playlist on my iPod, beat my high score on Temple Run(which is one of my new obsessions!) and had a snack. Only 30 more minutes to go! ;)

Other than that I had cheer practice for 3 hours last night, which was really fun because our routine for DM(US equivalent of districts I think) is finally coming together! It is going to look amazing when we put the last finishing touches on it next week. We got new uniforms last week for the competition that I’m gonna put on my cheer blog soon!

This picture is from Saturday before I went and saw my friends in Stockholm! It was only -15 degrees celsius(“only”) but we had so much fun anyway! One of my friends was leaving for Germany for 3 weeks so we wanted to hang out before we left!

Different Day, Different Color

Recently I have been really into painting my nails with cool designs. I have no idea why, I think it’s merely boredom that has taken over…but I have been experimenting with quite a few different ones. Here are a few pictures of ones I have done!

Silver Shampoo

I wrote before that I was really unhappy with my hair color, but I still haven’t done anything to it because I couldn’t decide what I want to do. There’s a silver shampoo that takes away yellow pigment from grey and blonde hair that my mom recently bought for me to try because I want to see if that’s going to change the color a little bit. I’ve only been using it for about 3 days, so I haven’t seen a difference. YET. I think I want to go get highlights soon because I’m going to keep my hair blonde until after the summer, then I’ll do something different I think. So far I feel like this is a good product, although the only downside is that it is quite hard to apply. The shampoo doesn’t foam, so it is hard to evenly get it throughout the hair. Also, the color of the products is quite a shocker: it is bright purple. Definitely worth the money though!

Happy Birthday Frida!!

First of all, Happy 17th birthday Frida!!! On Saturday one of my really good friends Frida celebrated her birthday! First we had a girls dinner and made sushi: I don’t eat seafood at all, but I ate the ones without any fish on it :P She had prepared two HUGE cakes so after we had cake. After a while it turned into a party with a bunch of people from our school, but it was really fun :)

Drama Free Queen!

Yes, I am not one for drama, although I do seem  to get involved in it somehow. I don’t like talking about people behind their back, I don’t like arguing about pointless things. “Why can’t we all just get along??” as my friend Nathalie says. If people would just have fun and enjoy each other’s company without all the drama life would be so much easier. I’ve even had people who were supposedly my ‘friends’ that have sat and talked about me to our mutual friends when I’m sitting right there. I mean it’s immature is what it is. I therefore like to choose friends that are very simple and do not like drama, just like myself ;) We just have fun and joke around, which is what friendship should be!
